Operation Maps
Mechanical traps are used extensively throughout the District on a continuous basis to trap migrating mosquitoes. Contents of the traps are collected and analyzed each week. Each trap’s content indicate the population in a specific area along with information about the mosquito species distribution. The data is submitted to the California Department of Health Services for compilation with other vector control agency data..
